Welcome to Love Where You Live 2011, Essex’s biggest ever community improvement campaign.

Love Where You Live is all about encouraging local volunteers of all ages across the county to organise and take part in their own community improvement events.

On this website you can find all the information about holding your own local activity – this can be a clean-up event or absolutely anything which shows how much you Love Where You Live! Once you register your event we will send you a free support pack to help you plan your activity. You can also find details of other Love Where You Live events taking place near you!

We hope you will be able to get involved and help make your local area a better place to live and enjoy.

Weeding the Village Hall Garden

Our lovely village halls gardens needs some attention and TLC - weeds and thistles are sprouting up everywhere, including in the lawns. 

It would be lovely for the community to get together and do some gardening, especially with the Jubilee Party coming up at the village hall/grounds.

  • Love Where You Live This Half-Term

    Essex youngsters are being encouraged to help brighten up their local communities this half-term, by organising or taking part in a Love Where You Live event.

    Love Where You Live events can be anything that improves the local community, from litter picks and clear ups to tree planting and conservation work parties.

    Over 75 events have been registered since the launch of the campaign in July 2011. If you haven’t registered an event yet then now is the time to get involved!
